Yuriy V. Kushniruk

Yuriy V. Kushniruk, 45, of Ooltewah, Tennessee, unexpectedly passed away on January 19, 2026, in Horse Shoe, Kentucky. He was a devoted husband, a loving and legendary father, and a cherished friend.

Born in 1980 in Shumsk, Ukraine, to Volodymyr and Valentina Kushniruk, his family immigrated to the United States on November 3, 1998, in search of a better life. He spoke often of his homeland and shared memorable stories from his youth.

Yuriy is survived by his wife, Olga; his sons, Vlad and Dennis; his daughter-in-law, Adalyn; his sisters, Alla Slobodyanyuk and Zoya Snigur; his brother, Alex Kushniruk; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

He spent most of his career as a truck driver, a profession he grew to love, which allowed him to provide for his family and create lasting memories. Outside of work, he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and watching documentaries.

Yuriy will be remembered for his kindness, sincerity, and the deep love he had for his family, friends, children, and animals. His life touched many, and his legacy will live on in all who knew him.
