William Dean White

William "Dean" White, a man of deep faith, entrepreneurial spirit, and an enduring love for the outdoors, passed away on September 15, 2026, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He was 70 years old.

Born on May 14, 1956, in San Antonio, Texas. While his roots began in Florida, Dean spent the majority of his adult life in Georgia, the place he truly called home, raised his family, and built his career. It was there that he truly anchored his life, raised his family, and built a successful career in the irrigation and landscaping industry. Dean was a natural businessman from the very start. Even as a young boy, he showed a keen eye for opportunity, selling sodas to local construction workers and collecting bottles to cash them in. That early drive evolved into a lifelong passion for business ownership, where his work ethic and creativity shone brightly.

Beyond his career, Dean had an immense zest for life. He was happiest when he was out in nature, whether he was casting a line while fishing or setting up camp under the stars. These moments allowed him to connect with the world around him and create lasting memories with his family and friends.

Dean's heart for people extended far beyond his community. Guided by a profound commitment to his faith, he served as a missionary in Kenya, dedicating his time to intercession, ministry, and spreading God's word. His faith was a central pillar of his identity, and his love for the Lord guided how he treated everyone he met.

Dean was preceded in death by his cherished son, Hunter White; his father, Donald "Don" White; and his grandmother, Theresa "Mamo" Bertram.

His legacy of love, hard work, and faith will live on through those he leaves behind. He is survived by his beloved daughters, Ashley and Kaitlyn White; his mother, Dorothy "Dory" White; and his sister, Denise Power.

Dean's family invites all who knew and loved him to join them in celebrating a remarkable life well-lived. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his generous heart, his devotion to God, and his love for the great outdoors.
