William Bruce Oody, Jr., age 39, of Loudon, TN passed away on Sunday December 28th, 2025, at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital.
William (Willie) loved life and tried every day to live it to the fullest. Willie loved his family and never entered a room without a smile and humorous attempts to make others happy or bring a smile to their face. Willie battled addiction for part of his life but was sober until the day of his death. He would have most definitely considered this to be a huge "win or success story" in this life. Willie wanted to use his testimony to help others in addiction and wanted to spread the Word of God and always claimed "the Lord has never left me, through it all." Willie also believed there are two dates that define a person, the day they were born and the day they figured out why they were living. Loss is the life lived between the numbers, and Willie would say "live it up and just love life, because we never know when it will be over". Although gone too soon, over a hard-fought battle with diabetes, Willie will never be forgotten. Forever in our hearts.
Love,
Your family.
Preceeded in death by his mother, Melissa (Missy Conatser) Oody; and grandmother, Judy Conatser.Father, Unknown.
Survivors include his grandfather, John (Jay) Conatser; sisters, Sabrina Lanter and Jamie Rivas; several nephews, cousins and other loved family and friends.
Psalm 23
The Lord Is My Shepherd
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness
for His name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley
of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil:
for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff
they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me
in the presence of mine enemies:
Thou anointest my head with oil;
my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life:
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.
