William (Bird) E. Foster, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished family man, passed away on October 9, 2026. Born on October 28, 1952, William lived a life centered around hard work, family, and the things that brought him joy.

William was a skilled block and brick mason who took pride in his work and the things he built with his hands. Beyond his profession, his greatest treasures were the people he loved. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Linda Foster, and a loving father who treasured the time he spent with his family.

William had a special love for music. He enjoyed playing his guitar and singing, sharing his love of music with those around him. Whether he was working, spending time with loved ones, or enjoying a song, he found happiness in life's simple pleasures.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his wife, Linda Foster; his brother, Rickie Foster; his daughter, Roxana Hinch; his son, William "Billy" Foster; his son, Steven Foster daughter-in-law, Rachel Foster; his grandchildren, Zachariah Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Destiny Miller, Corinthia Hinch, Tyler Foster, Chandler Harvey, and Christian Harvey-James; sixteen great-grandchildren; his niece, Barbie Foster-Smith; his great-nephews, Alex Smith and Michael Smith; his great-great-niece, Nova Smith; and his nephews, Rickie Foster II, Scott Foster, and Tristen Barker.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Brown; his father, Charles B. Foster; his paternal grandmother, Melissa Simpson; his maternal grandmother, Martha Lawson; and his maternal grandfather, Green Lawson.

William's love, hard work, music, and devotion to his family will never be forgotten. Though his passing leaves a deep sadness in the hearts of those who loved him, the memories he created and the love he shared will live on through generations.

He may be gone from our sight, but he will forever remain in our hearts. His song may have ended, but its melody will live on in the hearts of his family forever.

Rest in peace, William. You will be deeply missed and forever loved.
