William Dexter Rogers

William (Bill) D. Rogers, 83 resident of Bakewell, TN went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 22. He was at home surrounded by his wife and children.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Myron and Catherine Rogers, son John David Rogers and his granddaughter Christina Shaver.

Bill is survived by his wife of 63 years, Martha Crane Rogers; one son, Kenny Rogers; three daughters, Sandy (Ronnie) Jackson, Marty (Randy) Fairbanks, Amy (Garner) Hall. He had five granddaughters; Ann Marie McDonald, Kaila Rogers, Kelsey Rogers, Megan (Zach) Penny, Lauren (Jacob) Preston and seven great grandchildren; Chole Shaver, Sydney Shaver, Riley Shaver, Morgann McDonald, Riyen Campbell, Cade Campbell, and Zager Penny. His siblings are Myron (Ernestine) Rogers, Mary Carol Holderby, Joe (Pam) Rogers and Cathy Lewis.

He was retired from ADM Milling.

The memorial service will be held Friday, October 26 at New Vision Worship Center, 1335 Ely Road, Hixson, TN. The family will receive family and friends from 4-6 pm for a celebration of his life at the fellowship hall. The memorial service will be in the sanctuary beginning at 6:00 pm.
