William "Ronny" Burger, 76, of Tellico Plains passed away on October 3, 2026 peacefully in his home at 2:00am surrounded by his loving family.
Ronny was a member of Druid Hill Baptist Church in Tellico Plains. Early in his life, Ronny was a bundle boy for Major League Factory, and old sewing factor in Tellico Plains. He retired from the Monroe County School System after 28 years of custodial work. He was the co-owner of RBK Flowers and Gifts in Tellico Plains. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Preceded in death by his wife, Bettie Burger; parents, Luther and Myrtle Burger; brothers, Denny Burger and Jay Burger; and sister, Aileen Queen.
Survivors include his daughter Kendra (Brian) Buckna of Tellico Plains; grandson, John Buckna III of Tellico Plains; sister in law, Patricia Burger of Tellico Plains; nephew, Lamarr Burger of Dalton, GA; nieces, Kellie Queen and Lana Queen of Dalton, GA; great nieces, Jada Fox and Casey Queen of Dalton, GA; great nephew, Kyle Queen of Dalton, GA; and many other loved family and friends.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at 7:00pm at Companion Funeral Home of Athens. A visitation will be held prior from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A graveside service will be held on October 7, 2026 at 5:00pm at New Providence Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery ( 451 New Providence Road, Tellico Plains, TN 37385).
