William Arvin Jones 84 years of age passed away on April 1, 2019 at Sweetwater hospital in Sweetwater, TN. He is preceeded in death by his father and mother William Ted and Elizabeth Jones. William was a member and deacon at First Assembley of God Church in Sweetwater, TN.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Nola Tallent Jones, Children: Cherly Tilley (Arthur) of Loudon, TN, Doyle Jones (Theresa) of Palmetta, FL, Judy Breeden (Steve) of Sweetwater, TN, grandchildren: Deanna Lane of Sweetwater, TN, Crystal Knieser (Cliff) of Lenior City, Jennifer Tinker (Russell) of Calhoun, TN, Anna Pfister of Palmetta, FL, David Jones (Jennifer) of Port Charlotte, FL, great grandchildren Timothy Jones of Athens, TN, Katlyn Lane of Sweetwater, TN, Zane Knieser of Lenior City, TN, Alex and Dylan Turner of Palmetto, FL, Gracie, Ben, Hannah and Nolen Jones of Port Charlotte, FL, brothers: Jack Jones (Linda) Titusville, FL, and Tom Jones (Dean) of Hitchcock, SD.
The family will receive friends on Friday afternoon, April 5, 2019 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in the Athens chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 400 S White Street in Athens, TN. A celebration of his life service will follow the visitation time at 7:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Andrew Templeton and the Reverend Richard Tallent Jr. officiating.
The interment and committal service will take place on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the West View Cemetery in Sweetwater, TN.
In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Mission Ministry at First Assembly of God Church in Sweetwater, TN.
