Waymon Lee Ellison, a man of unwavering devotion and boundless energy, was born on March 10, 1959, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He passed away on August 22, 2026. He was the cherished son of John Ellison Jr. (Father) and was preceded in passing by his beloved mother, Juanita Z. Ballew Ellison, brother, Kenneth E. Ellison, uncles, and cousins.

Waymon's life is a testament to the power of love, loyalty, and the joy of family. He has been blessed with a loving and devoted wife, Jennifer Ellison, whom he married on March 17, 1990. Their bond is a testament to true partnership, a love that has flourished and strengthened through the years. Jennifer, his soulmate, is the cornerstone of his life, and together they have built a family filled with warmth and unity.

Waymon took great pride in his children, Stormie Miles (Rob Miles), Jamathan Horton(Tara Saint),Autumn Fancis (Quin), Kaeli Ellison, who were the light of his life. His heart swelled with pride and affection for his granddaughters, Kinlea Beaton, Katlynn Ellison and Hartley Horton, and 4 other grandchildren of whom brought immeasurable joy and fulfillment to his days.

His sister, Aretta Dixon, has been a steadfast presence in his life, sharing in the laughter and memories that only siblings can truly understand. Waymon's circle of love extended beyond family to his close friends, including George Steel, Hal Gray, and many others, who have shared countless adventures and moments of camaraderie.

Waymon was a man of remarkable intellect and skill, having attended Kirkman High School before pursuing his passion for mechanical engineering. He achieved his dream of becoming a doctor in the field, sharing his expertise at Shade Tree under the tutelage of his dear friend, George Steel.

His love for cars was matched only by his passion for creating beauty in the world around him. Whether meticulously tending to his lush, green lawn or building serene ponds, Waymon found peace and satisfaction in nature's gifts. His hands were rarely still, always busy with a project or reaching out to help someone in need.

Waymon's honesty, passion, and loyalty defined him, and his generous spirit touched all who knew him. He had a unique gift for conversation, engaging with friends and strangers alike, leaving each person feeling valued and heard.

A service celebrating Waymon's vibrant life will be held at New Heaven Fellowship, located at 906 Mission Ridge Road, on September 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. In honor of Waymon's generous spirit, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Ellison Family.
