Wanda Swafford

Wanda Gail Smith Swafford, a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister, passed away on December 22, 2025, in her hometown of Cleveland, Tennessee. Born on February 2, 1968, she graced this world for 57 years, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew her.

Wanda dedicated her life to education, sharing her passion for learning with young minds, nurturing their spirits and guiding their journeys. Her commitment to teaching was a reflection of her deep love for her family and community.

Wanda was preceded in death by her loving father William Jack Smith.

Wanda is survived by her devoted and loving mother, Linda Smith; her 3 sons, James Fredrick, William Fredrick, and Jeremy (Amy) Fredrick; her 4 granddaughters, Kyra (Colby) Goodson, Alyssa Fredrick, Ava Fredrick, and Jordyn Fredrick; and her great-grandson, Damon Goodson. Also cherishing her memory are her brother, Scott Smith, and her sister, Melissa (Tony) Sisk.

Wanda's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and the joys of family life. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those she touched.

Funeral services to honor Wanda's life will take Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Chapel at 2:00. Family will receive guests from 11:00-2:00.
