Wajeeha (Linda) Shorrosh

Wajeeha "Linda" Shorrosh, 84, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, transitioned to her eternal home on June 4, 2026. She was born on September 1, 1941, in Nazareth, Israel. In her early years, she worked as a medical secretary at The Nazareth Hospital until she married her husband, Fuad Shorrosh, and moved to Cleveland, Tennessee. Though Wajeeha was quiet, she was witty and always brought laughter with her jokes. She was also known for her hospitality and the way she thoughtfully served her family and friends. She was an active member of her church, First Baptist Cleveland, until recently moving to Chattanooga. Her hobbies included playing the piano and gardening. Additionally, she enjoyed attending Arabic conferences and her women's Bible study. Wajeeha was a loving wife, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Habib and Afaf Rizik, and sister, Lily Elouty.

She is survived by her husband, Fuad Shorrosh; stepsons, Tony (Valentina) Shorrosh, Shaun (Amal) Shorrosh, and Sam (Susan) Shorrosh; stepdaughter, Mona (Dale) Lewis; grandchildren, Andrew (Gina) Shorrosh, Nelly Shorrosh, Christopher Shorrosh, Rebecca Shorrosh, and Caroline Shorrosh; sister, Ina'am (Edward) Azzam; nieces, Nana Hamati, Lina Shaheen, Dumia Bisharat, and Hala Graieb; and nephews, Aziz Azzam and Habib Azzam.

Family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 p.m. on Saturday June 13, 2026, in the chapel at First Baptist Cleveland, located at 1275 Stuart Road NE, Cleveland, TN 37312.

The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Tom Wickes and John Constantine officiating.

Interment will follow at Hopewell Baptist Church cemetery.
