With love and sorrow, we announce the passing of Virl Hartless, just two days before her 82nd birthday.
Born to George and Mary (Parton) Russell, Virl was a woman of deep faith, sass, and sweet spirit. She loved her family fiercely, walked closely with Christ, and always had a soft spot for her cats.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Hartless Sr.; sons, Douglas Jr. and Michael; grandson, Marshall "Ray" Hartless; her parents; sisters Pearl, Gladys, and Dora Belle; and brothers James and Eddy.
She is survived by her twin brother, Earl Russell (Darlene); grandchildren, Laura Maples (Nick) and Nathan Dyer; three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; daughter-in-law Angelyn Reno (Ernest); and many loving nieces and nephews.
Virl was truly loved and will be deeply missed. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
