Velma Izetta Lawrence

Velma Izetta Lawrence, 100, a native of Chattanooga Eastdale Community. Most recently resided in Cleveland and was a member Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was an avid prayer warrior.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry M. Johnson and Nora Lena Kelly Johnson Walker; 8 siblings, L.J. Johnson, Willous Johnson, Jerry Johnson, Jr., Beatrice Tallant, Kennith K. Johnson, Gladys Williams, Betty Sue Campbell and Alvin G. Johnson.

Survived by her one sister, Barbara (Dennis) Brown; many nieces, nephews; great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4-7 PM Companion Funeral Home with the service to follow at 7:00 PM. Burial will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga-Cleveland group.
