Valerie Denise Ricker

Valerie Denise Ricker, age 58, beloved daughter of Jimmy and Rachel Goodwin of McDonald, passed away peacefully at her home on January 21, 2026, following a long illness.

Valerie is survived by her loving parents, Jimmy and Rachel Goodwin; her cherished daughter, Mykayla Slaughter, and son-in-law, Chase Slaughter, of Cleveland.

She attended Prospect Elementary School and was a graduate of Bradley High School. Valerie was a faithful member of Bancroft Church of God and lived her life as a devoted Christian. Known for her kind heart and gentle spirit, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Pallbearers will be Robert Taylor, Johnny Goodwin, Billy Goodwin, Mike Sherlin, Stanley Goodwin, and Kevin Taylor.

Valerie will be laid to rest at Bancroft Cemetery, located on Pleasant Grove Road in McDonald, on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with Ronnie Branham and Jeff Chesley officiating.
