Valerie Allmon

Valerie Hickey Allmon, 69 of Sweetwater, passed away February 1 7, 2025.

Valerie was a 1974 graduate of Sweetwater High School and a 1980 graduate of East Tennessee State University.

After graduating she worked for the Monroe County Advocate. Then later the Sweetwater City Schools.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Stanfiel (Bill) Hickey Sr. and Joyce Marie Gass Hickey; and her brothers William Stanfiel (Stan) Hickey Jr. and Dr. S. Keith Hickey.

Valerie is survived by her children William Drew Leinart and Avery Ruth Leinart; niece Cory Hickey Wood; nephew Adam (Angela) Hickey; sister-in-law Teresa Hickey; great nephews Brooks Wood, Dawson Wood, and Beau Hickey; cousins Lou Patten, Janey Patten, Edie Feehrer, Kelly Weekes, Jimmy Leppink, Deedie Kintner; and friends Cathy Thomas Ridley, Jan Gowan Tallent, Donna Denton Curry, Mary Younger, and Pam Hogan.

At Valerie's request there will be no services. Any donations may be made to the Monroe County Animal Shelter.
