Ulyess M. Harris

Ulyess Harris, 91, lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN, and Chattanooga, passed away January 13, 2023, at a local healthcare facility. Born May 20, 1931, to the late Will & Margaret Cofer Harris. Ulyess was of the Baptist faith and a veteran of the United States Navy. He loved hunting, gardening, and Tennessee Vols.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 12 brothers & sisters.

Survived by his loving wife, Vivian Harris; daughters, Melody Harris Costa (Mario) and Rebekah Harris Whitaker (Sam); step-son, Richard Taber (Laura); grandchildren, Spring McClure, Matt McClure, Justin McClure, Bobby Taber, and Jennifer Taber; great-grandchildren, Riley McClure, Kalix McClure, Cora McClure, and Kalel McClure.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 17, 2023, 2:00 PM, at Stanfield Baptist Church, with Pastor Mike Ryder & Pastor David Evans officiating. Burial will be held at Stanfield Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM, prior to the service at the church.
