Tommie Adcock Washington

Tommie Adcock Washington, formerly of Tullahoma, TN, beloved Momma, Nonnie, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving daughters, MBG (Sarah) and YBG (Lauren), and her son-in-law, Mark Giesel. At the time of her passing, she was a 68 year old biddy, as she would say.

Born on October 3, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan, Tommie was a radiant presence whose warmth, quiet strength, and generous heart left an imprint on all who knew her. She graduated from Shelbyville High School and went on to build a meaningful career at Jack Daniel's Distillery, where she worked for over 20 years in the shipping department. Tommie was known for her sense of humor, selfless spirit, and the lifelong friendships she formed along the way.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie S. Washington; her daughter, Erin Leighanne Williams, her OBG, as she lovingly called her.; her parents, Thomas Adcock and Doris Paul; and a host of cherished loved ones who now welcome her home. Tommie is survived by her children: Sarah (Mark) Giesel of Chattanooga, TN; Lauren Washington of Chattanooga, TN; Jason Williams of Shelbyville, TN; and her stepdaughter, Anjarae (Taylor) Hamilton of Los Angeles, CA. She was the proud and loving Nonnie to her grandchildren: Benjamin, Hayes, Carter, Kaleigh. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who were blessed by her love, loyalty, and kindness.

Tommie's life was a testament to love's power and the kindness that flows from a compassionate heart. She found beauty in life's quiet moments and strength in the face of challenges. She gave selflessly, listened deeply, and offered comfort and laughter in equal measure. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Daddy Billy's Restaurant & Bar at 4:00 P.M.,119 NW Atlantic St, Tullahoma, TN 37388. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring her memory, sharing stories, and celebrating a life so well lived. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Tommie's legacy by loving generously, helping others, and living with the same grace and warmth she brought to the world each day
