Timothy Joe
Dalton
February 11, 1968 – June 11, 2026
Timothy Joe Dalton, 58, passed away on June 11, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, friendship, faith, and hard work that will be cherished by all who knew him.
Tim was the devoted husband of Michele Dalton for 38 wonderful years. She was the absolute love of his life, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and unwavering devotion to one another.
Tim never met a stranger. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing a story, or simply making someone feel welcome, he had a gift for turning acquaintances into friends. He was known throughout the community as one of the finest automotive painters around. Having worked on cars since he was old enough to turn a wrench, Tim's passion for automobiles was more than a career-it was a lifelong calling. His talent, dedication, and craftsmanship earned him the respect of everyone who knew his work.
A faithful member of Pleasant Grove Church in Benton, Tim loved worshipping the Lord and spending time with his church family. He also enjoyed drag races, car shows, fishing, and any opportunity to be surrounded by family and friends.
Some of Tim's favorite places were home with his family, his garage where he spent countless happy hours working on cars, the beauty of Cades Cove, and the shores of Myrtle Beach. These places brought him peace and joy throughout his life.
Tim was a loving father and grandfather who treasured every moment with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Michele Dalton; his children, Katie Roberson and husband Tim, Abby Goodwin and husband Jesse, Colby Dalton and wife Hailey, and Lucas Dalton; his cherished grandchildren, Heath Rymer, Charlie Rymer, Lily Goodwin, and Hudson Dalton; and his mother-in-law, Ruth Mendenhall.
He is also survived by many extended family members, friends, and loved ones whose lives were enriched by his kindness and friendship. Among those friendships, none were more special than those he shared with Len Moses and Mike Garner, two lifelong friends who meant the world to him.
Tim was preceded in death by his father and mentor, Joe Dalton and his mother, Louise Dalton.
Above all, Tim will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His strength, generosity, faith, and love for his family will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In keeping with Tim's wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Instead, family and his closest friends will gather privately to celebrate his life, share memories, and honor the remarkable man he was.
Though our hearts are broken by his passing, we find comfort in knowing that the memories he created, the lives he touched, and the love he shared will remain with us forever.
