Obituary
Thomas Ray “Tom” Geren, 58, a resident of Cleveland, TN passed away on Thursday morning, March 21st, 2013 at his home. Tom was a lifelong resident of this area being born in Cleveland on April 8th, 1954 a son of the late Gean Thomas Geren. He was of the Christian faith. Tom was employed with Bradley Health Care and Rehab as a social worker having worked there for many years. Tom enjoyed his job because it gave him great joy in helping others and making them laugh. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.
Tom leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother Betty Curtis Geren, two sisters Kim Vansickle and husband Keith and Sandi Wooten and husband Tony, two nieces Amanda Brenizer (Justin) and Jana Wooten (William Lunny III) one nephew Alex Vansickle, two great nieces Sophia Lunny and Tinley Brenizer, and numerous other extended family members and friends.
A graveside service is planned for Saturday, March 23rd, at 11:00 AM at the Candies Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Lyle White officiating. The service will conclude with military honors.
The family will receive friends in the chapel of Bradley Health Care and Rehab located at 2910 Peerless Road NW in Cleveland, TN on Friday night, March 22nd, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the American Heart Association in Tom’s memory.
