Thomas "Tom" Richard Leach Sr.

Thomas Richard Leach, Sr., 76, of Cleveland, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at his home. He was called Tommy by his friends and family in his youth, but after his son was born, he was later referred to as "Big Tom". Tom was a devoted husband, father, Papaw, cousin, and friend to all who knew him. Tom was a dedicated member of Bellefounte Baptist Church for many years.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne H. and Virginia (Bill) Leach.

He is survived by his wife, Mary T. (Betsy) Leach of Cleveland, TN; a son and his wife, Tommy Jr. and Beth Leach of Charleston, TN; a daughter and her husband, Laura and Matt Davis of Cleveland, TN; two granddaughters, Ruby Isabella Leach and Bonnie Annabelle Leach; three grandsons, Silas Thomas Leach, Owen Matthew Davis, and Mack Taylor Davis; and a host of cousins and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Bellefounte Baptist Church with Pastor Lake Walker and Pastor Justin Ownby officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Benton Memorial Gardens with Tanner Hysinger, Micah Ault, Greg Blankenship, Chris Shope, Matt Davis, and Jon Wilson serving as pallbearers.

The family suggests that memorials be made to a charity of your choice.
