Thomas Jack "Tom" Gandy

Thomas Jack “Tom” Gandy, 76, died on April 28th, 2020, at Willow Acres Residential Care Center in Athens, Tennessee, of end-stage Alzheimer’s disease. Tom was born in Fort Worth, TX, on January 18, 1944 to the late Reba Jane Crossley Gandy and Jack Gandy. Tom earned a PhD in English Literature from Texas Christian University and was a college-level educator for over forty years. He first taught at San Jacinto College in Pasadena, TX, and later at East Texas State University-Texarkana, which became Texas A&M University-Texarkana. Survivors include wife Emma Elizabeth Gandy of Athens; son Michael Thomas Gandy of Las Vegas, NV; stepdaughter Christian Darr Jacob of Lubbock, TX; and stepson Dr. Richard Keith Jacob, Jr., of Morgan, GA.
