Tom Ham, Jr., age 75, of Etowah, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026, in Athens, Tennessee.

Born on August 8, 1950, in Fort Worth, Texas, Tom was the son of the late Thomas Roderick Ham and Frances Beatrice Gary Ham. He was very hardworking and spent much of his career in the trucking industry. Through dedication, determination, and a strong work ethic, he built a life centered on providing for and caring for those he loved.

Tom was a faithful member of Pine Hill Church and found great joy in the simple blessings of life. He enjoyed fishing, traveling, working puzzles, and, most of all, spending time with his family. Whether sharing stories, offering advice, or simply enjoying the company of those he loved, Tom treasured every moment with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara Joyce McDonald Ham; one great-grandson, Silas Strickland; seven sisters; and one brother.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Carrie Ollis (Jason) and Bridget Chandler (Chris); his brother Virgil Keen; his sisters Jean Ford and Tennie Moore; his grandsons, Jason Ollis Jr. (Zacori), Logan Ollis (Alyssa), Hayden Chandler, Hunter Chandler, and Aaron Chandler; his granddaughters, Haley Strickland (Lane), Ava Ollis, and Harper Chandler; his great-grandchildren, Lucy Ollis, Henry Ollis, Waylon Strickland, and Nolan Ollis; along with numerous extended family members, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.

Tom will be remembered for his steadfast faith, his love for family, and the kindness he showed to others throughout his life. His legacy lives on through the family he adored and the countless memories he leaves behind.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 6 at 12:00pm at Plowman Cemetery.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that he has been reunited with those who went before him and is now at peace in the presence of his Lord and Savior.
