Theresa Diane Johnson

Theresa Diane Johnson, age 61, of Dayton, Rhea County, passed away peacefully at her home on September 9, 2026.

Theresa was a lifelong resident of the area, where she spent 61 years creating memories with the people she loved. She enjoyed crafting, fishing, and taking long drives through the Smoky Mountains. Above all, her favorite thing to do was spend time with her grandbabies, who brought so much joy to her life. Theresa was a loving mother, Nana, and sister, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, James Dustin Johnson, age 41, of Rhea County, and his five children, Scott, Lake, Maggie, Arizona, and Liam; her daughter, Ashley (Jeremy) Evonne Martin, age 38, of Rhea County, and her two children, Matthew and Elena; Kristin Rose; four sisters; one brother; and many nieces, nephews, and beloved friends.

Services for Theresa Diane Johnson will be held at a later date.
