Tammy Lynn Sanders

Tammy Lynn Sanders, lovingly known by family and friends for her kind heart and caring spirit, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2026, at the age of 58.

Born on July 3, 1967, in Bowling Green, Tammy lived a life rooted in love, faith, and compassion for others. She found joy in the simple and beautiful things in life - attending church, spending time with friends and family, rescuing dogs, collecting antiques, and capturing special moments through photography. Her gentle soul and welcoming smile touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Tammy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will forever cherish her memory: her husband, Arthur Thompson; her mother, Sheila Campbell; her Adopted Mother Veronica Jean Sanders, her father Rayburn Lay, her Adopted father, Charles Sanders; her sons, Drew Sanders and Joshua Thomason; her sisters, Mary Burton and Nicole Sanders; her brother, Chipley Sanders; and her beloved granddaughter, Kara Sanders. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness and love.

Tammy's faith was an important part of her life, and she found comfort and happiness being surrounded by her church family and close friends. She had a special gift for making people feel welcome and cared for, and her love for rescuing animals reflected the compassion she carried in her heart every day.

Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void, her family takes comfort in the memories she created, the love she shared, and the legacy of kindness she leaves behind. Tammy will be remembered not only for the life she lived, but for the love she gave so freely.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026 at 6:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Cleveland Chapel. The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm prior to the service.
