Sylvia Ann Lawson Barbee

Sylvia Ann Lawson Barbee, age 83 of Athens, departed this life on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at her residence.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Arnold Barbee,Sr; children, James Arnold Barbee, Jr. and Sylvia Marine Payne; as well as her parents, Mary Ellen Lawson and Jack Lawson.
Survivors include her children, Dru Morgan, Woodrow Jackson Barbee, Phyllis Jeanett Ketchum; and Reba Diane Barbee; grandchildren, Jamey Lavon Bradford, Katrina Inez Parks, Rebecca Charlean Oller, James Arnold Barbee III, Michael Dewayne Barbee, Joshua Leroy Barbee, Joseph Edward Payne, Jr, Rafe Williams, Mary Ann Williams, Jennifer Morgan, and John Luke Cofer; as well as several extended family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life and Home going will be held at 7p.m. SATURDAY , April 23, 2022 from the Cleveland Chapel of Companion Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 5p.m. until the funeral hour on SATURDAY
