Susan Renea Martin, 47, of Athens went to be with the Lord on September 21, 2026. She passed away peacefully at Hospice Care Center of Chattanooga after a four year battle with cancer.

Susan was of the Baptist faith. Susan had a special love for cats and found joy in the simple things in life. She enjoyed coloring, stickers, and all things Stitch. She especially loved being cozy and comfortable, surrounded by her favorite fuzzy blankets and soft pillows.

Susan will be lovingly remembered for the things that brought her happiness and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Preceded in death by her parents, Eugie and Catherine Martin; and love of her life, Allen Crowe.

Survivors include her three children, Ciara Hayes (Joseph), MaKatylan Crowe, and Steven Crowe; sisters, Angel Givens (Alex Roach), Connie Walker, Penny Martin (Roger Gann), and Gina (Mike) Duff; brother, Tony Martin; special nephews, Johnathan Witt (Brianna Irvin) and Damien Witt; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loved family and friends.

There will be no formal services at this time.
