Stephen Richardson

Steve Richardson, 81, of McDonald, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Steve was born on October 3, 1944 in Cleveland, Tennessee to the late Paul and Nellie Richardson.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Stevie Richardson; brothers, James "Jim" Richardson, Tommy Richardson, and Harry Richardson; and his two sisters, Betty Crisp and Ann Dolen, all of Cleveland, Tennessee.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 54 years, Katie Banther Richardson pf McDonald, Tennessee; his sons, David Richardson, of McDonald, Tennessee, and John (Casey) Richardson of Ringgold, Georgia; grandchildren, Amelia Richardson, and Arlo Richardson of Ringgold, Georgia; and his sister, Rose Olson of California; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, January 5, 2025 at Companion Funeral Home - The Ridge Sanctuary from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

A Celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025 at 1:00 pm at Mercy Baptist Church with Pastor Greg Banther and Pastor Jeff Evans officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm prior to the service. A graveside service is to follow at Lee Cemetery.
