Stephen Kerr

Stephen Kerr, 73, of Old Fort, TN, passed away on December 10, 2021, at his residence. He was of the Baptist faith. He was born March 27, 1948, to the late Hazel Kerr and Jessie “June Bug” Kerr in Crandall, GA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his bull dogs, and extremely patient. He also enjoyed watching Western’s.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Thurma Kerr and two brothers, Dan and Eldon Kerr.

Survived by his son, Joseph (Sandy); daughter, Brandy (Greg); sister, Judy Sosebee; grandchildren, Zander Kerr, Kevin Williamson, Rosie Crider, Elsie Gagliano, Danyell Sholtz, and Brittany Kerr; 10 grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 16, 2021, from 5:00 PM-7:00 PM at Companion Funeral Home Cleveland Chapel. The family will also receive friends from 12:00 PM-2:00 PM on Friday, December 17, 2021, at the funeral home followed by the service at 2:00 PM with Johnny Sosebee and Joe Kerr, officiating. Burial will be held at Samples Baptist Church Cemetery with pallbearers, Greg Swallows, Troy Sosebee, Doug Sprinkle, Kevin Williamson, Greg Goodwin, Zander Kerr, and Kent Sharpton.
