Stephen Lee "Roho" Farrar, 72, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1953 in Atlanta, Georgia, to the late Samuel E. Farrar and Nelia H. Quinn.
Stephen was an ordained preacher. He traveled many miles- preaching all over Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama, and North Carolina. He was also a traveling singer, alongside his wife, Brenda- In the Gallilee Singers. He spread the gospel everywhere he went either in gospel singing or in his preaching.
He served as president of the SEGMA Southeastern Gospel Music Association for many years. He was a former president of the Cleveland Hunting Rifle and Pistol Club for many years.
He retired from Maytag/Whirlpool in 2004, after 28 years of service. In his retirement years, he enjoyed searching for all kinds of antiques at yard sales, antique stores and flea markets. His antiques became known as “Roho's Antiques”.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Eddie Quinn; sister, Gwen Bartlebaugh; and his infant brother, Samuel W. Farrar.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his beloved and devoted wife of 49 years, Brenda Farrar; sons, Stephen "Chris" (Teresa) Farrar, and Sam (Mindy) Farrar; his sister, Faye (Curtis) Patterson; his very special four legged companion, Camo; Father Jerome Chavarria; and his lifelong friend Charles (Laura) Allen; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
There are no services planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital in Stephen's name. Sympathy cards are welcome.
