Stanley Smith

Dr. Stanley Bernard Smith passed away suddenly at Starr Regional Medical Center on November 29, 2025.

Stanley was born at his parent's home in 1937 in Easton, Pa to Dr. George S. Smith and Theresa Smith (Frace). He grew up in Easton, graduating from Easton High School in 1955. He pursued a Bachelor's degree at Muhlenberg College in Allentown Pennsylvania where he met his life partner Barbara A. Stephens. He went on to Temple University in Philadelphia where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Stanley proudly served in The United States Army 1962-1965 at Ft. Campbell, Kentucky where he attained the rank of Captain during his service. He returned after the service to Easton where he established and owned a successful Dental Practice for many years.

Stanley was a loving and dedicated husband to Barbara Smith (Stephens) with whom he shared marriage nuptials in June 1959 and had recently celebrated 66 years of marriage. Together they raised 4 children. He was a devoted father, avid sportsman, and enjoyed his rural wooded property in Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania. He always had a humorous and fun demeanor and was cherished for his entertaining disposition throughout his life.

He is survived by his loving wife Barbara; 3 children - Stanley Smith Jr., Michael Smith (predeceased in 1964), Stephen Smith and Rita Smith (Bellman). He is also survived by 9 Grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Dr. Paul Smith, Marie Williams and predeceased by Dr. George Smith Jr.

Stanley will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
