Shirley Patterson

Shirley Wylene Cochran Patterson, 81, of Mineral Bluff, GA passed away on July 24, 2025. She was born on May 13, 1944 to the late Sid and Tilda Cochran.

Shirley was of the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, quilting, canning, watching over the farm, especially the cows, spending time with her grandson, his wife, and her four great grandchildren.

In addition to her mother and father, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years A.D. Patterson; daughter Sandra Key; siblings: Everett Cochran, Cletus Cochran, Gene Cochran, Winford Cochran, Aldon Cochran, Roy Cochran, Bill Cochran, Orlene Fox, Bunice Sorrows, Oleeta Tipton, and Birdie Cochran.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son Mark A. Patterson and wife, Michelle; daughters Alice Patterson and son-in-law Stanley Key; brother Milford Cochran of St. Augustine, FL; grandson Manuel Patterson (Tracy) and four great grandchildren: Alaina, Luke, Jacquelyn, and Avery Patterson. In addition to these, Shirley leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 1pm on Saturday July 26th at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Copperhill, TN with visitation prior to the service from 11am until 1pm. Pastor Sam Morrow will be officiating.

She will be laid to rest following the service at the church cemetery with Mark Patterson, Manuel L Patterson, Luke Patterson, Stanley Key, Jerry Boyer, and Terry Gladson serving as pallbearers. Roy Tipton will serve as honorary pallbearer.
