Shirley Green

Shirley Newport Green,74, of Sevierville, TN passed away peacefully on October 28, 2025, at the Waters at Maryville following a brief illness. Shirley worked for many years in the hospitality industry in Sevierville. She enjoyed meeting new people and telling them about the history of the area and special attractions to visit while enjoying the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.

Shirley is survived by a son, Jeffrey Wright of Sevierville, TN; siblings: Charles Newport, McMinnville, TN; Keith (Lisa) Newport, Oak Ridge, TN; Larry (Tampa) Newport, Maryville, TN; Joyce Dunlap, Mount Juliet, TN; nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Minnie Newport and her infant son, Gerald Matthew Wright.

A graveside service will be conducted at Oak Ridge Memorial Park at a future date to be determined.
