It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirel Pauline Rollins, who went home to be with the Lord on February 20, 2026. She was surrounded by love and family in her final moments.
Shirel was a true firecracker. She had a bold spirit, a quick wit, and never took any nonsense from anyone. If you knew her, you knew she could be fiesty when she needed to-but she could also make you laugh until your stomach hurt. Her personality filled every room she entered, and her slow, country voice and sharp sense of humor made her unforgettable to everyone who met her.
She spent many years working as a cook, where she shared her greatest love language: feeding people. Nothing made her happier than cooking for those she loved. Whether it was a full meal or something simple, if she fed you, it meant she cared about you. She took pride in her work and in caring for others through food.
Above all, Shirel loved her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She leaves behind her children: Tonia Smith; Tony and Katie Brown; and many others who were blessed to call her family. She was also a proud grandmother to Victoria, Diamond, Miranda, Lawrence Jr., Dustin, Mason, Brooklynn, Presleigh, and Sadie Grace. She was a loving great-grandmother to Penelope, Devosta, Cairo, Keontae, Malik, Zayne, Zyair, Lylah, and Amina, who brought her endless joy. Her love, strength, and humor will live on through each of them.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by her loving brother, Will; her sisters, Carol and Brenda; along with extended family and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is at peace. Her laughter, strength, and unforgettable personality will never be forgotten. Heaven gained a strong, funny, and loving soul, and we know she is watching over us all.
A celebration of her life will be held at Companion Funeral Home Ridge Chapel in Cleveland TN, March 4, 2026. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor her memory by feeding someone you love, sharing a meal, and telling stories that make you laugh-just like she always did.
