Sherry Brooks

Sherry Denise Brooks, an electric presence in the lives of all who knew her, was born February 15, 1973, in Cayce, South Carolina. She passed away peacefully October 8, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Sherry's vibrant spirit was matched only by her love for entertaining and singing, talents that drew crowds and left lasting impressions on everyone she touched.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Mitchell Coffey, and their blended family, including her daughter, Kirsten Chavis, and son-in-law Matthew Wendling. Sherry's legacy will continue through her cherished grandchildren, Mattalynn, Kalysta, and Cason Wendling. She is also survived by her father, Alfred Brooks, and step-father Lavon Kelley, along with her siblings Christine Lunsford, Marsha Russell, Terry Brooks Jr., and Damion Kelley. Sherry will be remembered fondly by her numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family members and family friends.

In addition to her immediate family, Sherry was preceded in death by her beloved son, Coty Brooks, her mother, Teresa Kelley, and her grandparents. She will be deeply missed by her aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will carry her memory in their hearts.

Funeral services for Sherry Denise Brooks will be announced in the coming days, allowing loved ones to come together to celebrate her remarkable life. Sherry's light may have dimmed, but her vibrant spirit will live on in the countless lives she touched.
