Shelia Louise Farmer, age 74, passed away peacefully at her home on October 6, 2026.
Shelia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose love and kindness touched the lives of many. She was a faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and cherished her time spent with her family. She loved cooking for crowds and especially enjoyed preparing delicious meals for holidays and family gatherings. She also had a love for traveling and cruising, making wonderful memories along the way.
Shelia was preceded in death by her mother, Mildred Green; her four brothers, Lawrence Green, Don (Faye) Green, Paul (Janey) Green, and Tommy Green; and her sister, Cathy Price.
She leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and cherished memories with her loving husband of 55 years, Donald Farmer; her daughters, Donna (Keith) McAlister and Rhonda (Terry) Gibby; her siblings, Jo (James) Hughes and Diane (Jerry) Welch; her four grandchildren, Brittany (Dre) Moore, Zach McAlister, Briana (Kollbie) Calton, and Garrett Langford; her great-grandchildren, Tori McAlister, Mya Moore, Kara Calton, Tatum Calton, and Millie Calton; as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever treasure the memories they shared with her.
Shelia's love for her family, her generous heart, and the memories she created around the table and on their travels will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Companion Funeral and Cremation Service, located at 2415 Georgetown Rd. NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A funeral service will follow at 3:30pm with Junior Burger and Guinn Green officiating.
Shelia will be laid to rest at Fort Hill Veterans Cemetery, with a dove release. Serving as pallbearers will be Keith McAlister, Zach McAlister, Terry Gibby, Dre Moore, Will Jones, and Cody Wooden.
