Scott Edward Combs

Scott Edward Combs, age 39, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on May 9, 2026. He was born on May 25, 1986, in Decatur, Tennessee.

Scott was known for his joyful spirit and love for life. A devoted Florida Gators fan, he took pride in his bright blue Honda and found peace in the outdoors, especially while fishing. Above all, Scott cherished time with his family. He had a natural gift for making others laugh, always the jokester, he would go out of his way to bring smiles and create lasting memories for those around him. Scott attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Paris, Tennessee.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lisa Combs, and his beloved grandmother, Lucille Combs, affectionately known as "Maw."

Scott is survived by his loving wife, Ericka Combs; his children, Taleigh Bradfield, Ethan Tatum, and his "baby bird," Rebecca Gann; his father, Anthony "Tony" McGuire; and his brothers, Wayne Bookout (Alyson) and James Bookout, with whom he shared a special bond. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish the time they shared with him. His loyal four-legged companion, Charlie, brought him endless joy, especially when Scott would carry him around in a baby carrier, a memory that will bring smiles for years to come.

Scott will be missed beyond measure by all who knew and loved him.

The family will receive guests from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Chapel of Companion Funeral Home in Athens, Tennessee. A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. In honoring Scott's wishes, cremation will take place after the service.
