Sarah Norwood

Sarah Parker Norwood of Riceville, TN passed away peacefully at her home on June 22, 2025 at the age of 82.

Born January 16th, 1943 to Perry and Grace Parker, Sarah was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all those who were blessed to be hers. Her sweet disposition, never ending love, compassion, and hugs will be greatly missed by us all. She was a long-time member of Bellfounte Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Grace Parker; brother, Jay Parker; and granddaughter, Celia Ann Norwood.

Those left to treasure her memory include her husband of 62 years, Lonnie Norwood; sons, Scott (Michelle) Norwood and Craig Norwood; daughter, Carrie (Lonnie) Allen; grandchildren: Brandon Norwood, Dakota Norwood, Ty Allen, and Trace Allen; great-granddaughter, Klairaty Norwood; brother, Roger S. Parker of Shoshoni, Wyoming; and sister, Judy (Donnie) McFall of Lake Mary, Florida. She also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, as well as many special friends.

There will be a graveside service on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at 11 AM at McMinn Memory Gardens, officiated by Lake Walker. Pallbearers include: Ty Allen, Trace Allen, Brandon Norwood, Dakota Norwood, Craig Norwood, and Scott Norwood.
