Sandra Jeanne (Sandy) Parker, born July 28, 1958, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ February 13, 2026.
Sandy was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved her family and drew happiness and strength from being with them.
She believed God's word. She believed in the power of prayer and prayed for her family without ceasing. She loved life. She was grateful for the good times and met hard times with faith in God, love, determination, and a strong will.
Sandy loved her husband and best friend Terry. She always loved being with him whether they were at home, taking car rides, camping, or browsing through antique shops. She treasured the beautiful carved figures he made and displayed in their home. She loved receiving the surprise gifts he hid away to give to her "at just the right time." She adored her children, Jessica and Cody. She was so proud of them and always loved having them close. She was an excellent cook and it filled her with joy when they came home to visit and to eat "Mom's cooking."
Sandy loved Christmas. She looked forward to time with family, decorating her home, and exchanging gifts in remembrance of Jesus' birth. She was a talented artist and enjoyed drawing and painting. She also enjoyed music, especially performed by her all-time favorite band Chicago. While she wasn't able to make a visit, she loved the beauty of Italy and all things Italian. She enjoyed collectibles, especially seraphim angel figurines and biscotti jars.
Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Charles A. Barker Jr. and nephew Tyler Durham. She is survived by her husband of 44 years Terry Parker, daughter Jessica Parker Roe (Raziara), and son Cody Parker. She is also survived by her mother Joyce Stanfield Barker, and siblings Angie Williams (Robby), Sherry Holloway (Brian), Daryl Barker (Marcia), and Charlie Barker (Cheryl), and by nephews and nieces Mitchell Barker (Brook), Shelley Williams-Falls (L. J.), and Nathan Owen (Alexandra). Sandy was close to her in-laws and was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Charles (Chuck) Parker, Jr. She is survived by sisters-in-law Debbie Bryant (Gene), Peggy Link, and Sandra Brown, as well as brothers-in law John Parker and Mike Parker, plus nieces and nephews Adam, Angelia, Avery, Christy, Danielle, Dustin, Kelle, and Kenny.
Sandy was deeply loved by her husband, children, parents, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be missed and remembered always.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
