Sandy Holbrook was born June 6th, 1971, to Mary and Robert Anderson in Downey, California.
She was the youngest of five children. Sandy married David Holbrook on June 10th, 1989.
Together they built a beautiful life together in California before relocating to Tennessee in 2022.
Sandy's life is remembered by her husband, five children, and eleven grandchildren.
Sandy embodied the joy and hospitality of Jesus Christ. To know her was to feel seen and loved
as you were. She was a fantastic mother to her children and their spouses; as well as the best
"Grandy" to her many grandchildren. Sandy found her purpose in helping and caring for others.
She was a spiritual mother to many, always finding ways to show God's love. She welcomed
people into her home, often providing safe spaces, a listening ear, or a word of encouragement.
She guided people of all ages in church small groups throughout her adult life and volunteered
often in her community. She lived out the call of God in her life.
After an aggressive illness, Sandy went home to be with the Lord in the early hours of October
19th, 2026. She passed peacefully surrounded by her husband and their children.
Words fail to capture all of who she was and how much she meant to so many. May these
words directly from Sandy serve as an encouragement to all of us who feel her loss: "God is
with me and you! Providing that crazy peace He gives, and He is going to get me to the other
side of it. For everything, He gets the glory for it!"
Sandy's life truly was living proof of the love of God. Everything she did was to lead others to
that beautiful love. It was what gave her and her family comfort in those final moments. She was
honored by all the prayers and support that were given. She will be dearly missed by everyone
who was lucky enough to have had a Sandy encounter. We cannot wait to see her again in
Heaven!
