Russell Lynn Miller

Russel "Russ" Lynn Miller passed from this world on September 27, 2026, beneath a beautiful Harvest Moon.

Russ leaves behind his beautiful Donna, his true north for 26 years; his children, Aleta (Scott) McClesky, Jessica (Chris) Sanders, and Holly (Teddy) Freeman; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Erin, Kasen, Jacob, Atticus, and Link.

Russ lived a life of adventure and service. He spent much of his life exploring caves and rivers, and the river community became a place he loved and belonged. He was an Air Force veteran and also served others as a paramedic and EMT instructor. He especially loved teaching WFR classes to fellow raft guides.

He leaves a huge hole in the hearts of his family, friends, as well as the Ocoee River community. Our hearts ache for the man we have lost but we find comfort knowing that God has called him home. His adventures, stories, lessons, and love will live on in all those fortunate enough to have known him.
