Roy Lewis

Roy Hughes Lewis, 77, passed away on March 23, 2026. Roy was born to the late Chester and Martha Gentry Lewis on October 26, 1948, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Roy loved to spend time outdoors, namely traveling and gardening. He was an avid UT sports fan. He also enjoyed cooking, and spending time with his friends and family.

In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles LeBron Lewis and Joyce Ann Campbell, and his nephew, Chris Lewis.

Roy is survived by his sister, Betty Jo (Richard) Lewis Braley, nephews, Darryl Braley, Mark Braley, Mike Lewis, Bruce Lewis, niece, Cheryl Campbell, and sister-in-law, June Lewis.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 29, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Companion Funeral Home - The Mack Shelton Parlor.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2025 at 11:00 am at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
