Rosalind Josephine Maze

Rosalind Josephine Maze, 83, of Ooltewah, TN passed peacefully on July 18, 2026 at Guiding Grace after an extended illness. She was a Registered Nurse for most of her career, primarily working in Home Health Care; her patients knew her as a caring and compassionate provider of nursing care.

Rosalind loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was a dedicated Sunday School Teacher for over 40 years; she taught various age groups from Elementary Children through Senior Adult women over the years. She was known, by all who knew her, to be a devoted Christian who faithfully attended church and served the Lord. She diligently read and studied her Bible; always ready to have Biblical-based discussions. She shared the Gospel and her Love for Jesus with family and friends - heaven only knows how many people will join her in heaven due to her faithful witness throughout her life!

She lived in the Ooltewah area for the past 20 years and was a member of the Greenwood Baptist Church. Before moving to Ooltewah, she lived in Pensacola, Florida for 20+ years and was a member of Northview Baptist Church.

Rosalind loved her family and enjoyed hosting get-togethers at her house for holidays and other occasions - it was always "the more the merrier" and food was plentiful and delicious! She was active with the ladies Quilting Group at Church in recent years and really loved her girlfriends in the group.

Rosalind was preceded in death by her husband of 41 Years, Gene Maze, her husband of 5 Years, Bill Arnold, her parents, James and Pauline Henson, her son, Jimmy Swindall, her sister, Renee Smith, her Great Grandson, Jaxon Pike

Rosalind is survived by a son, Mike Swindall (Kathy) of Harrison, TN, and a daughter Sandy Johnson (Barry) of Woodstock, GA; Step-Children: Lisa McVey(Tony), Sabrina Edwards (Mike); 7 Grandchildren: Amber Swindall, Ashley Swindall (Chris), Adam Swindall, David Swindall (Casey), Amanda Swindall (Ryan), Keith Johnson (Alexis) and Kristi McKeown (Kevin);Step-Grandchildren: Jessica Edwards;10 Great-Grandchildren: Kailey, Emma, Grant, Jada, Peyton, Gabe, Emily, Caroline, Lily and Harvey; Step-Great Grandchildren: Elijah Edwards; Brother, Ken Henson (Debbie).

A Viewing will be held from 10:00-11:30 am Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Greenwood Baptist Church (8529 Snow Hill Rd, Ooltewah) followed by a Service at 11:30 am. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 AM at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
