Ronald Harris

Ronald D. Harris, 76, lifelong resident of Chattanooga, TN, passed away January 12, 2024. He was born to the late James and Bessie Harris.

Ronald was a lifelong musician, loved music of any kind, started in the honky tonks and ended up singing for the Lord in church. He was of the Christian faith and a member of Pine Hill Church of God. Ronald loved to raise goats and spoil his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Cody; brothers, Jorge Harris, Jimmy Harris, Doyle Harris, Gene Harris, and Larry Harris; sisters, Faye Jackson and Pauline Knox.

Survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Eva Harris; sons, Darryl (Carrie) Harris, Dewayne Harris, and Donald (Angel) Harris; daughter, Rhonda Swearengin; grandchildren, Karissa Adekoya, Christopher Harris, Chelby Harris, Noah Harris, Hunter Harris (Sayre), Trinity Harris, Delilah Harris, and Mya Swearengin; great-grandchildren, Ace Holland, Finnlee Harris, Jaxson, Delanie and Liam Watkins; best friend, James Goins; a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM-2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 17, 2024, at Companion Funeral Home-Chattanooga Chapel, 6018 John Douglas Drive, Chattanooga, TN 3742. The service will follow with Pastor Jason Ollis officiating. The interment will be held at Ooltewah Cemetery.
