Obituary

Ronald Dale “R.D.” Johnson, 67, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, TN went to he the Lord on Friday, June 27th, 2014 in a local hospital. R.D. was born on April 27th, 1947 a son of the late Spence and Noveita Johnson. He was a graduate of Bradley Central High School and worked for forty two years as a welder for various local companies. R.D. was a member of the Brittsville Baptist Church. He was loved and will be greatly missed by his family, classmates and his many friends.

In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his first wife Diane Stanfield Johnson.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife Martha Johnson, one daughter LeAnne Smith of Marble Falls, NC, one son Travis Scott Johnson and his wife Suzanne, three grandchildren Brett & Lucas Johnson and Colby Smith, one sister Sheila Rawlston (Warren) of Hixson, TN, one niece Allison Forsythe, one nephew Andy Forsythe, two step sons Dale Boyd of Ooltewah, TN and David Boyd of Birchwood, TN, numerous other extended family members and a host of special friends.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday, July 5th, 2014 at 4:00 PM in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home located at 2419 Georgetown Road NW in Cleveland, TN with the Reverend Ken Purdie officiaitng. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2:00 PM until the 4:00 PM service time.
