Roger D. Silver

Roger D. Silver, 79, passed away on September 6, 2026. He was born to the late George W. Silver and Tilda Mantooth on December 23, 1946 in Old Fort, Tennessee.

Roger enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. He served as an ordained deacon from 1976-2022 at Liberty Baptist Church in Tennga, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, Roger is preceded in death by his siblings, Lovada Officer, Mildred Parsons, Annie Dills Foster, Betty Schroth, Ruby Flood, Shirley Patterson Fouts, Noah Silver, and Cecil Silver.

Roger is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Silver; sons, Dean Silver, and Stanley Silver; grandchildren, Randall Silver, Ashley Silver - Brewer, and Tommy Howard; and his siblings, Sue Silver Strickland, of Pelham, Georgia, and Nelia Silver Rogers of Benton, Tennessee.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2:00 pm at Ball play Baptist Church. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service.
