Robert Dwayne Wooten

Robert "Dwayne" Wooten, 69, of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1957, to the late Bob and Virginia Wooten.

Dwayne was of the Baptist faith and a graduate of Bradley Central High School, Class of 1975. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching NASCAR races on Sundays.

In addition to his parents, Dwayne was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Herb Godfrey; mother-in-law, Ruth Godfrey; brother-in-law, Ronnie Patrick; and sister-in-law, Pam Lankford.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 49 years, Cathy Wooten; his children, Robbie (Amanda) Wooten, Matthew (Lee) Wooten, and Kevin (Jennifer) Wooten; his siblings, Libby Patrick, Ray (Beverly) Wooten, Angela (Jim) Rose, and Tony (Sandi) Wooten; and his grandchildren, Briana, Hazel and Robert "Wade" Wooten, Elise Irigoyen, Audrey Garland, Lilly Wilson, Jesse Wooten, and James Bowen.

Dwayne is also survived by his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie Osment, Carolyn (Hoyt) Stokes, and Danny (Naomi) Godfrey; his faithful canine companion, Sheldon; along with numerous extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Dwayne's life will be held on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Cleveland Community Chapel, located on Forest Ridge Drive NW in Cleveland, Tennessee.
