Robert William Wentworth III, lovingly known as "Bob," age 55, of Charleston, TN, passed away on January 28, 2026, at Etowah Health Care, surrounded by the love of his family.
Bob was born on February 4, 1970, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Robert William Wentworth II and Kathy Ann Wentworth. A Michigan boy at heart, he proudly carried his love for Detroit sports with him wherever life took him, especially his devotion to the Detroit Lions.
Bob worked as a truck driver for Flowers Bakery for more than ten years, a job that reflected his strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. Though he worked hard, his greatest joy in life was his family. Nothing made him happier than spending time with his children and grandchildren, laughing, telling stories, and simply being together.
Those who knew Bob will remember his gentle soul paired with a fiery, spitfire attitude. He had a way of being both calm and passionate, kind yet outspoken. He loved classic rock, turning the volume up and jamming out, and he never passed up a chance to have a good time with family and friends. Bob's presence filled a room, and his love left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert William Wentworth II and Kathy Ann Wentworth; his grandparents, Robert and Carol Wentworth; and his beloved daughter, Destiny Wentworth.
He leaves behind his daughters, Crystal Wentworth (Marcus Jones) and Chelsea Wentworth (Antonio Butts); his grandchildren, Chyanne Wentworth, Brayden Reese, LA Butts, Audrina Butts, Skarlette Ashba, and Christopher Jones, who were the light of his life; his sister, Dawn Soto (Hugo); his brothers, Aaron Wentworth (Laura) and Jason Wentworth (Amy); his stepmother, Judy Wentworth; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to Companion Funeral Home to assist with expenses for Bob's services.
