Robert Myers

Robert Ray Myers, age 87, stepped across the veil to be in the presence of his Heavenly Father to be reunited with his wife Marie Myers whom he had missed greatly. He was the last of his siblings. He left behind his daughter Karen McGuffey; granddaughter Mara Patterson; grandson-in-law Chris Patterson; grandson James McGuffey; many cousins and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Taylor Myers and mother Lora Elizabeth Myers.

He was a Christ follower, beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He retired from Brown Stove as a machinist while also owning his own locksmith business. After selling his business, he worked as a security guard at the Church of God Headquarters until he finally retired. He was active in the Ruritan Club until he had to stop for health reasons.

A huge Braves and Tennessee Vols fan and as an avid HAM Radio operator, he loved to talk to people around the world.

Robert's family will receive friends from 2pm until 5pm on Saturday November 29th at the "Ridge Chapel" of Companion Funeral Home located at 2412 Georgetown Road NW, Cleveland, TN 37311. A graveside service will take place at 2pm on Sunday November 30th at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
