Robert Burton Morrison

Robert Burton Morrison, 73, passed away March 23, 2026, at a local hospital. A lifelong resident of Cleveland, born February 21, 1953, He was a son of the late Burton Leon Morrison and Emma (Carver) Haggard.

Robert was well known for his auto mechanics ability. While this was his life's passion, it also became his profession. According to his family, "If it had anything to do with cars, he could fix it". In addition to working on cars, Robert enjoyed both TN and GA football, swimming and fishing.

Robert is survived by his five children, sons Billy Joe and Patrick Wayne Morrison: daughters Melissa Ann Young, Stacy Lynn Morrison and Tracy Michell VanWinkle. The Mother of his children, Mary Ellen Morrison. Stepdaughters Carla (Rich) Crane, Ashley and Jennifer Mitchell and Stepson Rickie Mitchell. Also, there are many grandchildren on both sides.

In addition to his parents, Robert is also preceded in death by brothers John Morrison, Benny and Sammy Reed, sister Wanda Dale and companion Barbara Mitchell.

The family will greet friends at Companion Funeral Home, Ridge Chapel, Monday, March 30, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM until Funeral Services, officiated by Pastors Larry & Louise Taylor, at 2:00 PM. Robert will be laid to rest at Riceville Community Cemetery.
