Robert Mark Morris Sr., known to all as Mark or "Moose", was a devoted husband, father, and community pillar who passed away on May 10th. Born in Bremen, Georgia, to the late Robert Feild Morris and Edna Virginia Burrell, Mark lived a life defined by dedication to his family, his work, and his neighbors.

A Legacy of Service and Skill

Mark earned his Bachelor's degree from The University of Tennessee, a foundation that launched a successful 36-year career as a Computer Programmer for Delta Airlines in Atlanta. While his professional life was built on code and logic, his heart was rooted in his family. Mark and his wife, Lisa, raised their two sons in Bremen, GA, where he was a constant source of support, guidance, and wisdom. Upon retirement, Mark and Lisa moved to Coker Creek, TN, where he quickly became an indispensable part of the local fabric. He didn't just join the community; he served it. Mark was a member of the Ironsburg Community Church, the Coker Creek Ruritans, the Tennessee Overhill Heritage Association and Coker Creek Heritage Organization, always willing to lend his time and expertise to better the place he called home.

The Ultimate Problem-Solver

Mark was the man people turned to when things were broken, whether it was a computer system or a complex life challenge. He found genuine joy in the "puzzle" of helping others, a trait defined by patience and technical brilliance. This innate desire to fix things and assist those in need is a legacy he proudly passed down to his sons. When he wasn't troubleshooting for a neighbor or serving his community, Mark was a lifelong golf enthusiast. He found great pleasure in the game, and April was always a highlight of his year, as he looked forward to watching The Masters with the same focus he brought to every other pursuit in his life.

Family

Mark's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by: His beloved wife of 44 years: Lisa Morris, of Coker Creek. His son: Rob, his wife Jamie, and their daughters, Vivian and Mae. His son: Jay, his wife Layne, and their sons, Oliver and Matthew. His sister: Monica, her husband, Michael, and their sons Cam and Peyton.
