Robert Kenneth Gaston

Robert Kenneth Gaston, born on June 3, 1941, in Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life on July 22, 2026, at the age of 85. A dedicated truck driver, Kenneth spent over 50 years on the road, traversing all 48 contiguous states and building a wealth of stories and experiences along the way. His great passion for driving was only matched by his love for gardening and tinkering with his beloved 1949 Mercury.

Kenneth is survived by his daughters, Nancy Carmony and Kim Gaston, along with his grandsons, Ken Nicholson and Andy Spitler. He also leaves behind his nephew, Robert Gaston, as well as many other family members who cherished him. Kenneth was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Hilda Hollis Gaston; his parents, Robert and Clara Gaston; and his siblings, three brothers and four sisters.

Kenneth's enduring spirit and dedication to his work made him a respected figure in the trucking industry. He was a man of simple pleasures, finding joy not only in his professional life but in cultivating his garden and caring for his classic car. His laughter, stories, and unwavering love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

In honoring his wishes, Kenneth will be cremated, with his ashes scattered at a location meaningful to his family.
